Josephine says 'Hello all you lovely Clever Customers! I used to sing only the blues but now, thanks to the Clever Baggers, I can sing in all sorts of colours!

Well she may not have actually said the above but she did say 'The secret to the fountain of youth is to think youthful thoughts'

Wisdom indeed...

Fair and Ethical Trade - Cotton

The Clever Baggers Ltd is a specialist textile printing Company based in Welshpool on the Welsh Borders in the UK. We specialise in the supply and printing of cotton and cotton canvas products, notably bags, tea towels and aprons.

As cotton is not indigenous to the UK, trading fairly and ethically with suppliers where it is grown is very important to The Clever Baggers. We have devoted a lot of time to this issue to ensure that the products we buy have been produced in an environmentally and ethically sound manner.

We purchase all of our cotton products from a single source in China. We do not dictate the price we pay for the products, we accept prices offered so long as they are commercially viable. We confirm and certify that the following standards apply (a copy of the statement, signed by a representative of the factory, is available on request):

1.1. There is no forced, bonded or involuntary prison labour.

1.2. Workers are free to leave their employer after reasonable notice.

4.1. There is no use of child labour.
