Earth Day

Happy Earth Day! Earth Day is all about demonstrating support for environmental protection. Here is how we at The Clever Baggers are constantly making sure our work is sustainable through-out the year.
Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate for environmental protection. 🌍Earth Day🌍 was first held in 1970 and it now includes a wide range of events globally across 193 countries. The theme for 2022 is:
🌿Invest in Our Planet. 🌿
At The Clever Baggers we are constantly looking at ways to ensure our work is sustainable. Our natural products are ethically sourced, environmentally friendly and biodegradable, and we also do our utmost to ensure our internal processes are as streamlined and efficient as possible.
What does that mean?
Well for starters, the ink we produce for screen printing and our digital printing inks are water-based, and the screen-printing inks are reused and recycled into new colours wherever possible. With these efforts we have eliminated the need for any chemicals in the printing and cleaning process.
We try to be savvy with the packaging materials we receive. We reuse our cardboard packaging to ship out our orders, and we also have our paper packaging that we sell and use ourselves 😊.
Sometimes, when we’re printing, it doesn’t always go the way we like. When this happens, we use this product for our own purposes, like cleaning rags or running test prints. We create bundles with these products called “printed factory seconds” so sometimes we may not have any of these available.
Finally, we are currently in the process of switching all our company cars to electric and we even have an electrical car charging point on site.
We are always looking at ways we can adapt and improve to become more sustainable as a business.
